BioCham, a French/Syrian joint venture located in the southern suburb of Damascus, was founded in the beginning of year 2000, at a time that most European companies were looking for avenues to cut on costs without jeopardizing quality. Since Syria exports yearly millions of Euros worth of herbs, we believe that we can help European companies cut on transportation and labor costs by performing crude production steps.

We are proud to say that our operation is the first of its kind in Syria. The French partners provided the design and machinery, while Syrian and Lebanese professionals supervised the project. Our top managers have years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. We are set up and working to receive the ISO 9000:2000 by the end of 2005, few problems in our way but we will get there soon enough, although at the moment we have no need for the certification.
